Having watched the Dutch just now and Argentina last night we look no more likely to win the World Cup than Iran. But we can still live in hope. Come on England!

Last night Argentina didn't have much to beat. Better sides will not give them acres of space to pass the ball.
What was interesting is that as soon as the 2nd goal went in they stopped playing. I hope people realise that when England go two up on Thursday they should then stop running and save themselves for the knock stages.

we're all to ready to knock the england boys the good thing for me is we haven't even started yet we have class players maybe a flat manager but the class of england will take the germans in their own backyard. 5-1 remember its coming home Grin

Every team has a dodgy game, hopefully this was ours.  Wink

The best thing about Saturday was the Sweden/Trinidad&Tobago result - if we win against T&T we've already qualified, and if Sweden and Paraguay draw we've even *won the group*  Shocked regardless of the final round of group matches. The 1-0 win over Paraguay was boring and depressing in one sense, but *that's* how important those three points were.

In this scenario, I hope Sven has the sense to rotate the squad, saving Gerrard and Beckham and whoever else for the Last 16 by playing Lennon, Carrick, Walcott etc against Sweden. If he doesn't, and we then peter out in the next game, well... he'll be deservedly slaughtered.

I would save Walcott for the last match and then play him for the full ninety minutes. That is the only way we are going to see what he can do. Though judging by Rosicky (Czech player and another of Wenger's finds) he should be everything the Arsenal coach says.
