sods law that taxi, unlucky!

Time to have Liverpool defenders in, 4 clean sheets in a row and a favourable fixture list.. Agger best value assuming Rafa sticks with playing him AND Hyppia?

Would've swapped 2 of those goals yesterday for just 1 against Boro and Pompey.

It does appear that Liverpool have turned the corner and won't conceed as many sloppy goals. However, I would suggest that you don't put all your eggs in one basket.

The following goals conceeded list shows that Man U & Chelsea on the whole are better choices defensively but obviusely it does not account form.

                              Goals
1 Manchester United     8
2 Chelsea                   8
3 Arsenal                   12
4 Portsmouth              14
5 Liverpool                 15
6 Everton                   15
7 Aston Villa               15
8 Bolton                     15
9 Newcastle United      15
10 Manchester City      17
11 Blackburn Rovers     17
12 Reading FC             18
13 West Ham              18
14 Tottenham             19
15 Middlesbrough         19
16 Wigan Athletic        20
17 Sheff Utd               20
18 Watford                 20
19 Fulham                  23
20 Charlton Athletic     23

As I lifelong Liverpool fan I always have a selection of 'pool defenders but due to their appalling start I haven't this season, but now I might have to draft a couple in. What annoys me about pro footballers is currently their inability to hit a penalty so that the keeper can;t reach it. When I was a kid you very rarelty saw peanlties saved as they were always hit hard within a yard of the post and in the upper half of the goal. In my view pros should never miss a pen!!!!!

Agree about the penalty!

Did you see Ballack when he took the penalty for Chelsea (when lamps was going through a bad stage) - smashed it and it went in

Think English footballers need to brush up - we know when it gets to the World Cup/Euro and goes to penalties we lose!

Too right about pens, it does my nut in when they hit along the ground 5 feet away from keeper, how easy. Alonso today, wellied it st8 down the middle with some height, now that I dont mind.

Gerrard scored again, brilliant goal, ronalinhoesque in my view. Go on Gerrard!!
